Our vineyards

Priorat

Priorat is a small region characterized by its rugged terrain, which leads to a wide variety of microclimates and soils. These soils are dominated by llicorella, a highly fractured slate rich in minerals. In this steep, uneven landscape, there is enormous diversity—not only in the color and structure of the slate but also in hydrology, elevation, and vineyard orientation.

The terrain is so steep and winding that it generates internal microclimates.

All of this gives each vineyard a unique character; for example, the harvest date for Carignan in Bellmunt can differ by up to three weeks from that in La Garranxa (Porrera). These variations explain the singularity and diversity of Priorat wines.

Our vineyards

Our vineyards are broadly divided into two zones: the high zone, with cooler vineyards around Porrera and La Garranxa, and the low zone, with warmer vineyards near Bellmunt del Priorat.

Les Eres

  • Soil: llicorella
  • Varieties: mostly Carignan, Garnacha, White Garnacha, Picapoll

Els Carners

Bellmunt

Els Carners ia a 0.6-hectare slope located in the area of Falset. A small amphitheater facing the village of Bellmunt del Priorat, terraced with stone walls. At 350 m altitude.

Completely surrounded (north, south, east, and west) by white pine and oak forest, giving the wine from this estate, Les Eres especial dels Carners, a distinct aromatic profile. Acquired in 2001, the previous owners say it was planted right after the phylloxera plague, in 1890. It’s our oldest vineyard.

  • Year of planting: 1910
  • Soil: llicorella
  • Varieties: Garnacha, Carignan, White Garnacha
  • Orientation: South / East
  • Wine: Les Eres especial dels Carners

El Molí

Bellmunt

El Molí is the winery’s newest viticultural project. A 2.5-hectare plot that has belonged to my maternal family for generations. Located between the municipalities of Bellmunt del Priorat and Falset (50% in each). Once cultivated with vines, almonds, and hazelnuts, it had been abandoned for over 50 years and became forest. My mother had harvested it several times in the past.

  • Year of planting: 2023
  • Soil: llicorella and granite.
  • Varieties: Garnacha, Syrah, Carignan
  • Orientation: North/East and North/West
